We are currently hiring for our upcoming 2022 tour of A Very Odd Birthday Party by Hannah Donelon, directed by Anna Berentzen! We are hiring for the following positions:
Producer

Important info for all applicants:
Our rehearsals will take place at The Met in Bury. We do not have budget to relocate artists during rehearsals, but we are aware that some aspects of these roles may be done remotely. Please only apply if you can feasibly do this role without the need for relocation.
Authentic representation and understanding is really important to our work. A Very Odd Birthday Party explores themes of working class identity, coming from a low socio-economic background, and 1st and 2nd generation immigration. If you feel particularly connected to any of these themes, you may wish to let us know in your cover letter.
We have specific funding set aside to support those with additional access provisions. If you are thinking of applying but are worried about access, please get in touch.

Producer
We are hiring a theatre producer for our upcoming tour of A Very Odd Birthday Party by Hannah Donelon.
Key Dates:
The majority of this role will take place ahead of rehearsals which begin on 26th Sep 2022 . The producer role will begin Spring/Summer 2022.
Rehearsals will take place in Bury from 26th Sep - 14th Oct 2022.
Tech and production tour around England will take place 17th Oct - 30th Oct 2022.
We would want to work with the producer on a part time ad hoc basis throughout this time period.
Overall fee:
£2000 for an average of 4 weeks work over this time period. The time would be split to make most sense around the key tasks involved. We would hope to work with the Producer to decide the best way of managing this time.
Key job duties:

Take the lead on some elements of marketing to reach projected ticket sales

This is the premier of A Very Odd Birthday Party, after an R&D period in May 2021. The tour will take place around England. The play is predominantly naturalistic but leans into moments of magical realism.
We are looking for a designer who is excited to create a minimalist, easily transported set that provides lots of versatility and opportunity for magic.

Lighting Designer
We are hiring a Lighting Designer for our upcoming tour of A Very Odd Birthday Party by Hannah Donelon.

Key information:
This is the premier of A Very Odd Birthday Party, after an R&D period in May 2021. Rehearsals will take place at The Met in Bury. The tour will take place at a number of Studio sized venues around England. Our stage manager will be required to drive the set to each location using a van. Please only apply for this position if you hold a valid driving license and are happy to drive during the tour. The stage manager will also be responsible for the operation of the production while on tour.
