About the play
A Very Odd Birthday Party is a vibrant new play with music by Hannah Donelon (Manchester Fiction Prize finalist; Women's Prize for Playwriting Longlist) that was R&D-ed last year. In Autumn 2022, we will rehearse and tour the play around England. The production will be directed by Anna Berentzen (Headlong Origins 2022; The Royal Exchange; North Wall Theatre).
The play is being delivered in partnership with The Met and Liverpool Irish Festival, and is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and by funding from the Consulate General of Ireland, Manchester. A Very Odd Birthday Party was initially developed thanks to funding and support from The Production Exchange. To find out more about A Very Odd Birthday Party, see Our Work.
